These terms cover your use of airbagmarket.co.uk and purchases made through it as a consumer. A consumer is an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Separate agreed terms may apply to business purchases; calling an individual a business customer does not remove rights they have as a consumer.
Your seller and your contract
The legal seller is identified on each listing and before payment. Our sellers are professional vehicle dismantlers acting as traders. Your contract for the goods is with that seller. Orders containing goods from several sellers create a separate sale contract with each seller.
Airbag Market UK provides the marketplace and customer support. We remain responsible for our own services and legal obligations. The seller is responsible for the goods, their description, fulfilment and the remedies required by law. Our role does not remove any responsibility that the law places on us.
Placing an order
You can review the goods, seller, delivery details and total price and correct mistakes before placing your order. The payment button makes clear that placing an order involves an obligation to pay.
An initial order acknowledgement confirms receipt of your order. The seller accepts your order, and the sale contract is formed, when an order acceptance email is sent. Payment is taken at checkout, before the seller accepts the order. If an order cannot be accepted, you will be told and any payment already taken for it will be returned without undue delay. A price or description error will not be corrected by charging you more without your agreement. Once accepted, an order cannot be cancelled by the seller merely to impose a higher price.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery and any other unavoidable charges are disclosed before payment; where a charge depends on your address, the way it is calculated is made clear before the final total is shown. Optional extras require your express choice.
Payments are processed through Stripe, using the payment options shown at checkout. Their applicable privacy information is linked where payment details are collected. No extra amount will be added after purchase without a lawful basis and, where required, your agreement.
Descriptions and suitability
The listing identifies the condition, included components, relevant part numbers and compatibility information supplied by the seller. Used goods may show the wear disclosed in the listing, but they must still meet applicable legal standards. Disclosed cosmetic wear is not a disclaimer for an undisclosed fault.
Tell the seller before purchase if you are relying on the part being suitable for a particular purpose. If you are unsure about compatibility, seek confirmation before ordering. This does not transfer responsibility for an inaccurate description or an incorrect assurance to you.
Restricted products and installation
Some products can only be supplied to eligible purchasers or in an approved configuration. Such restrictions are shown before ordering, and evidence of eligibility may be required. We may prevent an order where lawful supply cannot be established. Products requiring professional handling and installation must be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions by appropriately qualified people.
Delivery and returns
Our Delivery Policy and Returns and Refunds Policy explain delivery arrangements, cancellation rights and remedies for faulty goods. Any additional seller warranty is identified in the listing and supplied with the order. These policies form part of the purchase information and do not restrict statutory rights.
Accounts and reviews
Provide accurate account and order information, keep your login details secure and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. You must not use the site for fraud, unlawful listings, harassment or interference with its security. You are not automatically responsible for unauthorised activity simply because it occurred through your account.
Reviews must reflect a real experience and must not contain private information, threats or misleading claims. We may remove content that breaches these rules, but we do not remove a review solely because it is negative. We may restrict an account for a substantiated breach, fraud or safety concern. Where appropriate, we will explain the action and provide a way to challenge it through [email protected]. Account restrictions do not remove outstanding purchase, refund or data protection rights.
Responsibility and loss
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Each seller remains responsible for its own breach and applicable product obligations. We do not impose a blanket exclusion of installation costs or vehicle damage where the law makes us or the seller responsible. Responsibility for damage caused by misuse or incorrect installation depends on the facts and does not excuse a pre-existing defect.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, defective product liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded, or your statutory rights.
Complaints and governing law
Contact [email protected] about a marketplace issue, or the seller about the goods. We can help route an unresolved order complaint. Complaining through the site does not prevent you exercising cancellation rights, contacting an appropriate regulator or bringing a court claim.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you retain the mandatory protections applicable where you live and may bring proceedings in the courts of your home jurisdiction where the law permits. Nothing requires you to give up those rights.
Changes
The version presented when you place an order applies to that order. Future changes will be published with a new effective date and will not retrospectively reduce your rights under an existing purchase. Material account service changes will be communicated where appropriate. The Privacy Policy explains personal data use separately; accepting these terms is not consent to optional marketing or tracking.
