Who handles a return
Your legal seller is shown in your order. Contact the seller using the details in your confirmation or email [email protected] with your order reference. Airbag Market UK accepts cancellation notifications on the seller’s behalf and records when they arrive. You do not have to wait for a return reference or an approval to notify cancellation.
These terms cover your use of airbagmarket.co.uk and purchases made through it as a consumer. A consumer is an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Separate agreed terms may apply to business purchases; calling an individual a business customer does not remove rights they have as a consumer.
Cancelling a consumer purchase
If you buy online as a consumer, you normally have a legal right to cancel without giving a reason. You may cancel before delivery or until the end of 14 days after the day you, or someone you nominate other than the carrier, receives the goods. If goods under one contract are delivered separately, the period normally runs from receipt of the last goods, lot or piece. Separate seller contracts have their own cancellation periods.
Send a clear statement that you wish to cancel, by email, post or the available return contact route. You may use the cancellation form below, but you do not have to. Dispatch does not end your cancellation right. Return the goods within 14 days after notifying cancellation, unless the seller has offered to collect them.
Returning safety restraint components
Contact the seller promptly for the correct address, packaging and an appropriate carrier or collection arrangement. Do not send airbags or pretensioners using a service that has not confirmed it can carry the particular item. If the agreed collection arrangements are delayed by the seller, your request will remain recorded and the seller will not treat its own delay as a reason to refuse your rights.
For change-of-mind returns you bear the direct return cost only if this was explained before the contract. For goods that cannot normally be returned by post, the return cost or a reasonable estimate is provided before purchase. If the required cost information was not provided, the seller bears that cost. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods are handled at the seller’s reasonable expense.
Condition and packaging
You may inspect goods as you could reasonably do in a shop. Please retain suitable packaging and accessories. Missing original packaging, opening electrical packaging or installation is not an automatic exclusion from statutory rights.
For a change-of-mind cancellation, the seller may make a deduction for an actual reduction in value caused by handling beyond what was necessary to establish the goods’ nature, characteristics and functioning, where the law permits. Any deduction will be explained. No automatic restocking or administration fee applies to statutory cancellation. Faulty-goods claims are assessed under the separate legal remedies below.
Refunds following cancellation
If you cancel the whole contract, the seller refunds the goods price and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery offered for that order. An extra amount paid for express delivery need not be refunded. For cancellation of only part of an order, any delivery refund depends on the charges attributable to those goods; we will explain the calculation.
The refund is made without undue delay and within 14 days after the seller receives the returned goods or, if earlier, evidence that you sent them back. Where the seller has offered to collect, reimbursement is due without undue delay and within 14 days of being informed of cancellation. Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise and incur no fee. You will not be required to accept store credit. Processing by your bank may affect when the amount appears, but does not extend the seller’s deadline to issue the refund.
Faulty or misdescribed goods
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for any purpose made known and accepted where the law requires, and as described. These standards apply to used goods, taking account of age, price, description and other relevant circumstances.
You normally have a 30-day short-term right to reject non-conforming goods for a refund. After that, you may be entitled to repair or replacement, and subsequently a price reduction or final rejection where the legal conditions are met. The seller must not impose an unsafe repair of a safety restraint component; an appropriate replacement or refund will be considered where repair is unavailable or inappropriate.
For the statutory repair, replacement, price reduction or final rejection remedies, a fault that appears within six months is generally presumed to have existed at delivery unless the seller proves otherwise or that presumption is incompatible with the goods or fault. After six months, you may need to show that the non-conformity was present at delivery. Six months is not a fixed expiry date for your statutory rights.
The seller bears reasonable return costs for rejected faulty goods and necessary costs of statutory repair or replacement. A refund following statutory rejection is made without undue delay and within 14 days after the seller agrees that you are entitled to it. Any legally permitted deduction on final rejection will be explained; none applies to the 30-day short-term rejection for use.
Reporting a problem
Provide your order reference and explain the issue. Photos of the part, label or packaging can help where safe and reasonable, but a 24-hour or 48-hour report is not a condition of your legal rights. You do not lose those rights just because a defect becomes apparent after installation. Damage actually caused by incorrect installation, misuse or modification is considered separately from an original fault.
If you selected the wrong part despite an accurate description, the change-of-mind rules may apply. If the listing or seller’s assurance was wrong, the item is assessed as potentially misdescribed or unfit for the agreed purpose.
Our 30 day money back guarantee
Every seller offers consumer customers an additional 30-day money back guarantee. To use it, tell the seller or Airbag Market UK by the end of 30 days after the day of delivery that you wish to return the goods. For split deliveries under one contract, the period runs from the last delivery. Send the goods back within 14 days of your notice, or make them available for an agreed collection.
For voluntary change-of-mind returns notified after the statutory cancellation period, the goods must be in the condition in which they were delivered, uninstalled, unused and unmodified, with their supplied accessories and identification labels. Use the original protective packaging if available, or obtain suitable replacement packaging through the seller. An opened outer package is not itself grounds to refuse this guarantee.
Where these additional conditions are met, the seller refunds the product price and, if you return the whole contract, the least expensive standard outward delivery charge. For a partial return, any delivery refund depends on the charge attributable to the returned goods. There is no restocking fee. You pay the direct cost of a change-of-mind return only where it was disclosed before purchase, including a reasonable estimate for any required specialist return service.
The seller issues the refund to your original payment method without undue delay and within 14 days after receiving the goods or, if earlier, evidence that you sent them back. Where the seller has offered to collect them, the seller issues the refund within 14 days of your return notice. A different refund method is used only if you expressly agree and incur no fee.
This promise is provided and funded by your seller. Airbag Market UK helps administer requests; it does not create a separate compensation fund or promise to pay a seller’s debts. Contact [email protected] if you need help.
The additional conditions for days 15–30 do not restrict your statutory cancellation rights, including any legally extended cancellation period, or your remedies for faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods. Such remedies can continue beyond 30 days. All time periods in this guarantee are calendar days.
Exceptions and additional promises
A statutory cancellation exception may apply to genuinely personalised or made-to-specification goods where the legal conditions are satisfied and the relevant information was given before purchase. Ordering a standard part specially, selling a used part, or classifying a component as electrical does not by itself create an exception. Faulty-goods rights remain applicable.
The 30-day money back guarantee above applies to all eligible consumer purchases; the seller cannot shorten it through a listing. Any more generous voluntary return period must be clearly stated and operates in addition to this minimum and your legal rights. Business purchases do not automatically carry the consumer change-of-mind right; any applicable trade terms must be agreed separately.
You can use the cancellation form below to notify the seller that you wish to cancel your purchase. Using this form is optional; any other clear statement of cancellation is also accepted.
